The liberal outrage over the recently enacted Arizona Immigration Law,which has been fueled by speculation and outright lies put forth by individuals who, by their own admission have not bothered to read it, has proven to be not only misguided but misplaced too. The city of Los Angeles was the first and most publicized entity to boycott the state of Arizona. If the city council of Los Angeles had bothered to review their own California Penal Code 834 which is actually much broader than the new Arizona law. Now the Mexican Government is suing the State of Arizona. This would be slapstick comedy if it was not true. The lawsuit states that Mexico desires to have "consistent relations" with the United States and not have them "frustrated by one state", the Mexican's go on to say they have "legitimate interest in defending it's citizens rights". My question is if their "citizens" are in Arizona without papers aren't they here illegally and breaking the LAW? A look at some Mexican Immigration Laws shows a very draconian code indeed. Racial profiling, Article 37 of the Mexican code bars individuals that would upset the equilibrium of national demographics.
When we started calling illegal aliens, illegal immigrants we gave them credibility that was unearned or deserved. Over 6,000 illegal aliens arrive in the United States daily that is over two million a year. It is estimated that there are between eighteen and twenty million illegals in the United States at the present time. Last year 2009 $25,000,000,000 (that's billions with a "B") went south to Mexico from illegal aliens to their families. Those are US Dollars that will never return, never have taxes taken from, never be spent at a local mom and pop store, never go to a US bank to support loans, just taken from our economy to help spur inflation. Any wonder why Mexico wants to keep the border open? That is a pretty large part of the Mexican gross national product of 875 billion.
That is not even taking into account the billions of dollars taken out of the country by the Mexican Drug Cartels, which now find out have permanent lookout posts set up on our side of the border. We must control our borders! We must build the fence and patrol it in earnest. Homeland Security has failed the nation miserably. Janet Nepolitano the Secretary of Homeland Security and former Governor of Arizona stated that the Arizona "border is as secure now as it ever has been". She is kidding right, or is she just lying as the rest of the Obama Administration has be doing on every other matter?
I for one will be spending every dime I can on Arizona products and services (I even sent a gift to an ex-girlfriend who moved to Phoenix after Katrina) and I will refrain from patronizing any businesses based in L.A. San Fransisco or any other entity calling for boycott's of Arizona. For countering the boycotters and organizers here is links to both please forget to buy from them.
